Project Overview
Our Grittleton project involved the design and construction of a bespoke oak-framed porch for a charming rural property in the Cotswolds. This carefully crafted addition enhances the home’s character and provides a beautiful, practical entrance space.
The solid oak frame is set on hand-built Cotswold stone walls, constructed using traditional lime mortar techniques to ensure durability and authenticity. Externally, we used reclaimed roof tiles and meticulously matched the timber cladding, allowing the new structure to blend seamlessly with the existing property.
Inside, the porch showcases exposed oak rafters, natural oak window boards, and limestone flooring with an integrated floor mat, combining traditional craftsmanship with a high-quality, timeless finish.
This project highlights our expertise in oak-framed buildings, Cotswold stonework, and heritage construction, delivering exceptional results that complement period and rural homes across Wiltshire and the surrounding areas.
